Base Gede Seasoning :

  • 5 onions
  • 5 garlic
  • 2 cm galangal
  • 2 cm ginger
  • 2 cm kencur
  • 2 lemongrass stalks
  • 10 curly chilies
  • 6 lime leaves

Other ingredients :

  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp broth mushrooms
  • 1 pack (65 ml) coconut milk
  • ½ coconut grated
  • to taste salt and coconut oil 
  • to taste shrimp paste
  • taste brown sugar, fine slice

How to make Sate Lilit:

  1. First, wash the chicken meat and chop finely. Then wash the lemongrass, cut the top evenly.
  2. Next, prepare all the ingredients for the base gede seasoning, thinly sliced ​​and kneaded.
  3. After that, heat the oil, then stir-fry the base seasoning with the shrimp paste until fragrant and wilted.
  4. Next, remove the lime leaves and grind the spices that were stir-fried earlier.
  5. Then put the base gede spice stir into the minced meat. Add coriander powder, pepper, salt, mushroom broth, coconut milk, grated coconut and brown sugar. Stir well.
  6. Then take a fistful of dough and wrap it around the lemongrass stalk. Then bake on low heat so that the dough cooks evenly.
